Hi,It’s me Lydia!
I’ve seen enough terrible “about me” pages to know that I didn’t want one, but if you’re going to work with me, of course you want to know, well… about me. So, I asked some former clients what they loved about working together, and while technically it crosses the modesty threshold I like to stay below, for the purpose of our introduction I’ll allow it!
You’re never going to get the same thing as the last guy, nor should you!
My personal brand is what I call “Cleverly Modern” – classic without being stuffy, eclectic without feeling like a thrift store. I recognize that’s my style, not necessarily yours. I help people see what they can’t (or sometimes don’t want to). By distilling your likes and dislikes, together we can come up with a unique vision that is exactly you. I’ll help guide you through the process as we hone in on your aesthetic, even if it’s constantly changing. I’ll push the envelope but we’ll have fun together. Bonus points if you love some brass and a splash of leopard.
I won't let you do anything "bad".
Starting this process can be scary for a lot of clients. I totally get it. A blank canvas can feel daunting. Hell, even picking out pillow shams for some people is a big decision, and that’s okay. I’m here for you. I’ve done this long enough to know what we need to do to make your home a place you want to be IN. And if we’re lucky, the inspiration for Architectural Digests’ latest feature. At the very least the envy of every before/after Instagram remodel post.
A perfectionist, but not annoying about it.
In my 15 years of industry experience, I’ve managed everything from stud up renovations to a single room refresh with the same eye for detail. I’m incredibly observant, but don’t believe every hair always needs to be in the perfect place to keep going. My vision is my best sense, in all senses of the word. And while creativity is always the driving force, my analytical brain will keep things organized so nothing falls through the cracks. A true left brain, right brain gal here. There are a lot of moving parts in what we do, but I promise you, I see ALL of them and they will come together 'perfectly' in the end
Sweating the small stuff is what you pay me to do.
I’m known for being a peacekeeper; an undramatic diplomat who rarely gets rattled. I like to save my drama for reality tv, thank you. I wear a lot of hats; project manager, accountant, negotiator, marriage counselor, etc.. Did something go wrong on the job site? I got it! Furniture showed up damaged? Easy fix. We aren’t doing brain surgery, but I'm here to keep things moving forward and manage all aspects of your project and your sanity.
So let’s get started.
Like what you’ve read? Good, I spent a hell of a lot of time on it. Well, honestly, a good friend helped immensely, because while I might be a LOT of things, I'm no writer. I believe in hiring the right person for the job and surrounding myself with only the most capable people! So should you.
